Rugs falling into our Antique collection can mainly be categorized as Peshawar Rugs. Peshawar rugs are 20-30 years old, based on Antique designs and are made with Vegetable dyes and 100% Handspun Ghazni wool by Turkoman weavers, mostly refugees, settled in the tribal belt of Pakistan-Iran-Afghanistan border areas. The rugs themselves have Abrash in the coloring as a result of the dyes and materials.
