Premier Chobi Collection
Our Premier Chobi Collection owes its origin to the carpet weaving tradition in central Asia. These fine Rugs actually originate from Mizar-e-Sharief a town in Northern Afghanistan that is major Rug producing center. We have contracts with finest hand-looms in the area where our exclusive designs are weaved with the best quality wool & dyes. One of the attractions is the beauty of the Vegetable dyes and the harmony of their pastel color schemes. Another special feature Lustrous Handspun Ghazni Wool – that is also much in demand due to its antique elegant look and longer life. These rugs are extremely durable with a strong double-knot (asymmetrical knotting) weave. We maintain one of the largest Online selection of Afghan Chobis that contributes to company’s enormous buying power.

Antiques
Rugs falling into our Antique collection can be categorized into two sub-categories of Peshawar Rugs and Oversized Semi-Antique Persian Rugs. Peshawar rugs are 20-30 years old, based on Antique designs and are made with Vegetable dyes and Handspun Ghazni wool by Turkoman weavers, mostly refugees, settled in the tribal belt of Pakistan-Iran-Afghanistan border areas. The weavers tend to live in the North-Western areas of Pakistan near the city of Peshawar, and the rugs are often referred to as Peshawar rugs. The rugs themselves have Abrash in the coloring as a result of the dyes and materials - the attractive varying shades of the same color most often found in antique and semi-antique rugs.
